As Easter approaches and we get into this routine of distance learning I thought it would be fitting to offer some Easter and faith art options. Some projects I give age recommendations, but all ages can try them out! These projects can be created with any art materials, check out the Household Items as Art Materials Section for ideas. I start all drawings in pencil first so mistakes can be erased.

Cross Silhouette on the Hill
Start by drawing the hillside and crosses in pencil. Use a ruler or a straight edge when drawing the cross. Color in with a black crayon or marker. Use any materials avaialble to create a colorful sky background.
Dove Drawing
Follow the step by step directions below to draw a dove. The new steps are in red. Draw lightly in pencil first! Create a background of your choice. A dove in front of the cross is a nice choice, or creating shapes in the background and coloring them in to create a stained glass effect.
Church Observation Drawing
3rd-5th
Artist: Maggie Puetz 8th Grade
One way to celebrate the physical church when you cannot attend services is to draw it. I have included pictures of the area's Catholic Churches below ,as well as some famous churches. At first look it might seem complicated but if you slow down, draw the main shapes first you can be really successful! Don't worry about making each detail perfect!
To begin, draw the main shape of the church. If I drawing Immaculate Conception I would first draw the main triangle shape of the roof. Then draw the bigger, larger details-doors, bell tower. Take it step by step and don't get overwhelmed by detaisl!
