Letter to Families
Dear GTACS Families,
During our extended closure I want to make art class easily accessible to you. I have included all K-8 Materials and Resources in one place. I know that with all of the uncertainty in the world, art might not be your first priority and that is understandable. But I also know that during difficult times art can be a wonderful distraction, or can be an outlet for expressing emotions and reacting to the events unfolding around us. As we find ourselves without sports, playdates and the bustle of our normal daily lives you might even find a little more time for creating.
For Immaculate Conception students I will be including enrichment activities and posting weekly lesson ideas and videos that any age artist can participate in, including adults! These projects are not required, but I would love to see student's artwork, you can email them to me at [email protected].
For Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton art students I will be posting weekly lessons under the grade level page. Please have students submit artwork digitally through email. I will be sending email invitations for zoom meetings to student's emails as well. I have included due dates to help students stay on track, but due dates are flexible as we all try to navigate this new way of learning. Parents and students don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need anything!
Students, know that I miss you so much! My favorite thing about my job is getting to see you and help you create amazing artwork every day. I can't wait until we are back in the Art Room!
Best,
Mrs. Pearl
